Crazy Taxi (primarygames.com) was so much more fun once I read the instructions! I've not used Yahoo games before however I have downloaded games from MSN. There really wasn't any difference. Fun Fun Fun!

google earth

I was a bit disappointed when I zoomed in on my address. I'd hoped to find my husband mowing the lawn! I really had hoped to get a better 3d of my home.

tracking my progress

I accidentally skipped this one. When I read the correct way to record my progress it appeared I had been doing it in correctly. I've found however I seem to get the same results.

I think this is something that could be very useful when researching a reference question, especially if more than one person is working on it. I know I will most certainly use it when looking at recipes and craft patterns. This way I will be able to easily find them when I retire and have time to actually time to use them!

online applications and tools

One process I think this would be very beneficial would be scheduling. This is great for anyone that does not have the tools loaded onto their computer.

Search engines

I'm still a 'google girl'. It's very possible I am just used to this search engine however I found it very difficult to find out who won the US open playoff today on Mamma and Dogpile yet it was the top hit on google!

podcasting

I listened to a couple of the Boulder Public library's teen podcasts and I regularly listen to Sno-Isle's podcasts since I think we have some very talented children's book readers! I did also listen to a couple of book reviews by Pierce County's Steve Campion.
Yes I do find the podcasts valuable for libraries.
I think podcasting booktalks for all ages would be very well listened to by patrons....I would listen to them!
My podcasting experience has been limited.

Image generators

This was fun however I did have some trouble downloading some (most) pictures to create the magazine cover. I kept getting an error message stating the webpage could not be displayed. When I had almost given up and tried just one more photo it worked?? All photos were .jpg.

I had fun looking for old episodes of Star Trek on Fancast and the collection of SNL shorts on Hula. I could totally see myself getting absorbed in this but I do have other things to do! I'm sure the movie listings, as well as other links on both Hula and Fancast, could be helpful for libraries.
YouTube is just too slow tonight. I am familiar with this site though and visit it regularly.

RSSing the traffic cams

Among the RSS feeds I've added is WSDOT. Now I can check out the traffic cams before setting out on my commute!

I finally did my IM today. I found it was easiest to do with the staff member sitting directly across the room from me! I'm ready to add more contacts!

Since I spend a large portion of my day moving up and down the I-5 corridor… I wish mobile blogging did not involve texting. It just doesn’t seem safe during those moments when I reach speeds greater than say, ‘0’! I’m sure there is some device that allows voice activated blogging, I just haven’t found the right aisle at Best Buy yet.
